Is anyone locally going to air Dennis Miller???

Not that I'm going to listen, but it starts tomorrow, so I wonder if anyone is going to broadcast it locally???

Dennis Miller's show will be broadcast on Salem-owned stations, of which there are only 2 in the Valley, KKNT & KPXQ. It doesn't say anything on either website.

I wish they would, I like Dennis.

Get rid of Liddy and Hill, they won't be missed.

Well, we know it won't be KPXQ, since they run teaching programs. Liddy and Hill, I assume, are under contract for a while. I bet Salem Phoenix chooses not to air Miller unless his show gets significant buzz nationwide.

Here's the official word from his site

Phoenix KJAA-AM 1240 7a-10a
Phoenix/Mesa KXAM-AM 1310 9a-11a
Tuscon KVOI-AM 690 7a-10a

And yes I know Tucson is spelled wrong.

I listened to a bit of it over teh intrawebs.

Good show, not screaming, not preachy, not full of gimmicks or name calling.

Analysis, talk, fun.

I'll listen, will be the first time I've listened to KXAM in years though.

Why is Matty boy only running 2 hours? Is "Don and Kim rave about resturants that sponsor their show" such a good deal?

Because they like getting Imus for free. Although I'd rather have Glenn Beck back.

Of course, everyone claims this (as WW1 claimed KNTR as their "Phoenix" affil for Scarborough before KXAM cleared him), but the Phoenix market does not include Gila County.

See that's how syndicated radio shows work. WW1 will advertise the TV market that they are in, not the radio market they are in. I've dealt with a syndicated show in the past. That's how they sell it. Once had a show on in the Philly market with 2 different stations, even though the radio signal didn't reach the philly area, but the tv signal did. It's slimey, but it's not only a ww1 thing, everyone does it.

Perhaps, but Lake Havasu is part of the Las Vegas TV market more than Phx.

This piece of plop Dennis Miller is circling the drain.

Saturday Night Live ---> HBO ---> ABC MNF ---> KKNT.

What's next? Public access television?

Saw him on the Daily Show last night, and his self-amusing cuecard comedy is no better-delivered now than he ever has.

His smirky self-bemusement is oh-so 1989.

I haven't heard the radio show yet, but I did catch Miller on the Daily Show. Given the left-leaningness of the Daily Show, i thought it was pretty noteworthy that - without abandoning his conservative politics - Dennis Miller was able to get laughs out of that liberal audience. Sure it wasn't his best comedy, but still funny. I'll give his new show a shot one of these days.

THAT is the funniest think I've read all week!

Hmm? 'Kim and Don Ask "What's Your Favorite Sandwich?"' is the only show, save perhaps Dave Ramsey because of his national sales support, can be sold. KXAM.com still has a "rare" opening for an account executive... from 3 years ago.
