Is Anyone Not Giving Away $1,000?

A few months ago, Q100 started giving away $1,000 4 times a day, apparently to counter the new Jeff & Jenn Show on Star 94-1. As I recall, the station got a sponsor to do it.

Several weeks ago, Star 94-1 announced they were also giving away $1,000, and guess how many times a day. If you said 4, you're a great guesser. In fact, Jeff & Jenn have been doing the promos, calling the $1,000 "thank you cash." I doubt many listeners realize that Star 94-1 is participating in a national contest, and that they are competing with listeners across the country. But, I have to hand it to Star 94-1. By using Jeff & Jenn, they're getting listeners to think they're matching Q100's local giveaway. And lucky for Star that "Sarah in Marietta" or *someone" in Marietta was a winner and allows them to use her on promos.

Of course, if you want a station that sounds a little younger and gives away $1,000, Power 96-1 is there for you. And if you're a little older but still think an extra thou would come in handy, turn on B98.5. They're giving away $1,000 prizes, also.

We are just so lucky that all this money is falling from the sky!
