Is Ares Legal

I heard that using Ares for Downloading is legal but I dont know if its true,,, I want all my music to be legit and have good SQ... BTW if you noticed on Mystery, some of my music from Compilations sounds choppy at the beginning and end, cause some of those are on Mix CDs... I shouldnt have spent 150 dollars on my girlfriend and I would have more money for CDs... she broke up with me the day after getting it.

I'm not familiar with ARES but technically your stream isn't legal unless you have a license from Sound Exchange, ASCAP, BMI, etc and are paying royalties on the music you are playing.

Live365 covers the royalties and is not expensive for starters.
Doesn't matter how you get your music, as long as you pay the royalties.

Live 365 would be the way to go if it was more easy for listeners to tune in in HQ without ads,, I wish I could aford the 99 bucks for a PRO station,, but the most I might be able to do is 20.00.. I doubt I would get singeled out with all the small stations that stream and dont pay, but if I get too popular I will likely get banned from the server, like shoutcast does...

Just work on a relay with Live365. Best of all, Zara Radio is free. Im currently configuring Zara with Live and Winamp and hope to go relay by the new year.

ElectricFM.com was Live365's #1 most listened to station. It never got banned, they just moved to a new host to save money on streaming.

Im wasnt saying get banned from Live 365,, I'll just shut up, I said too much already,,, BTW im streaming in glorious 224k now, I didnt want to do a seperate post on shameless self promotion cause it gets annoying to the other people and makes me look rude and desperate.

Well I cant sign into my account on Ustream  So I downloaded Destiny Radio software and am streaming Mystery fm on the Pirate radio destiny server, but now I cant broadcast 24/7, cause I have to plug directly into the modem, so if someone else needs their computer I have to shut down and hook up the router.. The good news is I will always be on from 7 pm to 2 pm the next day,, between two and seven I probably wont be on. ??? Also if anyone wants to listen past dial up quality in mono, you must download the destiny media player, im one of about 3 dance stations on there.
