On the top spins for Latto Big Energy on the Hot AC charts, I noticed all the Hot AC stations that were still spinning it in power (and high number of rotations) were Audacy Hot AC stations. I noticed this because I noticed my local Hot AC station KZPT spun it 99 times last week, despite it being a slightly older song. When I checked the other top spinners, nearly all were Audacy stations. Is there something afoot?
 
Exactly, I'm sure you must have a life outside of your local Alt music station. Or, since you counted how many times a song played over a week.....maybe not!

Or, more simply and probably... the corporate programming department found, via research, that the song was a very good fit and recommended it to all the alternative rock PDs for higher rotations.
 
This song is still in high rotation? Both Urbans and the Pop station here ran it into the ground from November until about June

Technically speaking, the song has already peaked, and its chart run is over, even in the Hot AC chart. So no.

It's either just testing well or serves some purpose for Audacy Hot ACs. The PDs all communicate with each other, and there is a group format captain, so I'm not surprised to see a lot of stations from one group playing a big recurrent a lot.

Latto may have 99 spins, but she is outpaced by Lizzo's About Damn Time, who is getting 101 spins on KZPT.

That song is in the current chart.
