There is a local radio blog - let's just called it "B-Watch" - and Kylie has read it 3 or 4 times. Each time she reads it she feels a little embarrassed.
Take for example, a post today. The blogger, who must be like 1,000 years old, is saying "Air America has a new, cutting-edge, completely amazing website!" So, Kylie clicks over to check-it out ... and ... WTF? It's a $55 customizable WordPress template. Realistically, an intern may have set it up. The template hasn't even been customized, it's like straight-out-of-the-package. Kylie thinks the blogger might be joking when he was raving about the Air America site but isn't too sure. (Not that there is anything wrong with WordPress. Kylie uses a WordPress template to make her own website for her elder home care firm [almost the same one Air America uses, actually - albeit some different widgets], but a WordPress out-of-the-box, off-the-shelf web package isn't a very good indicator of the "health" of a ray-dee-oh network.)
I wish this were an exception but, each of the 3 or 4 times Kylie has read that site it seems like it's written by someone who has no clue with a capital "C" ... painfully ... and yet he has a loyal audience of 6 or 7 folks. What is up with that? Where do they come from?
So, my question is - should Kylie start a blog? For the number of dee-jay's Kylie's slept with in this town she's sure she could have a built-in audience of 6 or 7 at-launch. Tell me if you vote yea or nay and I'll make my decision soon. KISS SMILEY
