They are garbage, we need a true CHR.

call them whatever you want, they will still suck

The airstaff is just awful, afternoon driver is a puker and the night jock is boooooooooooooooring as Delilah

They are one of the softer CHR's that I've heard. Almost borderline AC. Which is why when WLEV had that stint with Hot AC a few years back, there were times when the music on B104 was softer than WLEV. It was humerous.

B-104 is Adult CHR

"B-104" (WAEB-FM) is not CHR-Pop. They are Adult CHR. It's basically halfway between Hot AC and CHR-Pop.

And WLEV (as "Mix 100.7") was never a true Hot AC. They were Bright AC. Similarly, that's a halfway compromise between AC and Hot AC.

When you're in a smaller market, these compromise formats make sense; they allow you to cover two formats with only one station.

Re: B-104 is Adult CHR

Good observation. This is not far from the strategy that brought WAEB (790) its dominant numbers in the 25-34 demographics back in the 60's and 70's.
