Is Bruce OK?

Maybe I missed something. But understandably I haven't seen any posts from Bruce in recent days.

Bruce, I don't know when or where you may see this, but please when you get a chance. Give us a shout and let us know how you're doing in the wake of Harvey. In the meantime, I know I speak for all of your friends here on the board by assuring you that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Be safe and Godspeed!

If there is anyone more 'zoned' about communications and cx than R.Bruce is in that region, it'd be news to me!

In the meantime, additional news and updates about radio on (as always) the Houston-Galveston section of Radio-Discussions.

I gotta second Cyberdad's fine sentiments. Keep us up to date when things permit, RBruce !

I am fine - thanks for the concern! As you can imagine, I have been absorbed by more pressing matters than posting on boards. No water damage, never even lost electricity, although as you have seen on the news, the area has been hard hit by 50 inches of rain in places. I hear it was 25 trillion gallons of floodwater, 4 1/2 times Katrina. That would make a drop the size of Mt. Everest.

People in Houston have a chance to DX on 89.3 and 91.7 - both transmitters are underwater I hear.

Absolutely. Was thinking about Bruce and his family the other day. The death toll keeps rising from Harvey and flooding just keeps getting worse. Now spreading to Beaumont and places in far west LA.

I am fine - thanks for the concern!
Gr8!
I was confused about the title of this thread because your 411 on the left side of the screen omits your location.
I was not going to post this until you re-emerged.

Good to hear you're OK, Bruce!

And certainly not to take away from the horror that many are going through there from the storm.

But I was wondering how much all that fresh rain water that now will go into the Gulf will affect the salinity of the water and if it would have any significant difference in the conductivity and AM reception between two points on land where a signal crosses over the Gulf.
