Is CBS Radio Sac Cooking the books

Was going to apply up in Sac at CBS, but the rumor mill says they just fired there higher earning staff members to make up for some illegal book work.
Is there any truth to this?

As if laying off high paid staff is anything unique to one corporate entity. It seems pretty common. I know large operators have made across the board layoffs, with no regard for how productive someone is (i.e. all ops managers in a specific region, etc.). ::)

cutting staff is either a total budget cut move from above or by making the cluster look more profitable for a sale. even with lower billing a station looks more profitable with less payroll.
