Is Cox actually tweaking The Point?

I've heard a couple of songs on The Point that I don't actually remember ever hearing there before. Have I just missed these in the normal rotation, or is this something new??

No Doubt - Don't Speak, late 90's song wasn't it? Around '98 or '99?
Sugar Ray - Every Morning, again late 90's?
Sugar Ray - Fly
Third Eye Blind - Semi Charmed Life

I know I don't listen to the Point very much anymore, but when did these songs make the rotation? Late 70's through early 90's these are not.

They've been doing that on their Point station in Tampa as well.

Sugar Ray and Third Eye Blind were definitely on the charts in 98-99....I remember a concert in Dallas they played at in spring 99 and those songs were hot then..Guess the Point finally realized THREE decades of music means 30 years and not 20 ;)
Could it be Jack has affected them??

No Guys - It is the usual Bob Neil Cox music test where they change a few songs around after extensive analysis of playing the songs that Bob wants to play. He just did the same in Tampa a few weeks ago.

He's testing quite a few songs, I guess. Heard Lenny Kravitz's "Fly Away" this morning just after 7am. I want to say that was released this decade. Somewhere around 2000 or 2001. Interesting! Can anyone with an HD radio tell us, is Pat FM changing and shuffling things up as well?

I do think that Jack would affect Cox, to some extent, remember, that is why it took us so long to get a Jack FM. Pointless is starting to sound more and more like KSMG-Magic 105.3 in San Antonio, and that is not, for those who don't know, a good thing.

I know this post is almost 2 weeks old but, I just had to say that Don't Speak came out in 96. Fly came out in 97, Every Morning in 99. The 3EB song came out in 98. It's nice to hear these in rotation. I am tired of hearing Jesse's Girl and Summer of 69 every time I listen to The Point so I'm glad they are testing music from the mid and late 90's. :D

I'm tired of hearing I Want To Know What Love Is and I Love Rock N Roll every time I tune in to The Point.

Magic isn't all that but it's better than what you currently have.
