Is Dan Patrick Really Live From Tampa?

On 1010 AM, Dan Patrick keeps saying in liners, "Now more of my show from the Culpepper/Curlin studios in Tampa." Doesn't he do his show from Chicago?

Probably. It's interesting that the 1010 AM studios are not in Tampa. They're in St. Pete.
Culpepper/Curlin is most likely paying them something for the connection to their firm.
Have you noticed that Channel 10 News is "Powered by Brighthouse Network?"
Stations will grab money from anyone who will pay.

lol. doubtful "he" is there...but as long as stations whore themselves out to lawyers and "referral services" for a cheap buck for cheap programming, we'll just have to deal with it....not that the show is really worth listening to...um...if you can even get the signal....

Its called studio naming rights and it could just as well be the Dairy Queen Studios although you are correct about who actually buys into them. It has nothing to do with the programming, cheap or otherwise, it will just show up on the log as another spot. For reasons that still amaze me advertisers will pay to have their name simply mentioned, 2-3 SECONDS, on the air during these little blurbs! Look at that little ghost for Famous Tate on BN9 during the allergy report. At least its a visual and lasts as long as the pollen count airs. I guess the answer is- people noticed the Culpepper/Curlin Studios mention and I noticed the Famous Tate ghost so in the advertising world that is a win!

Still it is exactly the same thing as RAYMOND JAMES stadium, ST PETE TIMES forum, ect, ect..........
