IS "DANIEL BOONE" OVEREXPOSED ?

It's on locally, sub-channels, several cable networks. The show was OK but nothing
great. Many must be attracted by the E/I stamp of approval.

Other westerns are just as PG and entertaining as Daniel Boone. Why didn't they get
the E/I stamp also?
It just seems odd that there is something in Daniel Boone that is
educational.............look out for rattlesnakes.......how to get a bucket of water......
how to float down a river.........how to make Indian calls, etc.

Actually, "Daniel Boone" is a historical adventure series that was set in the Revolutionary Era and is not considered a Western (Even TV Guide had it listed as "Adventure" when local stations aired it), which is why it qualifies as E/I friendly. And while the late Fess Parker did make sure that Boone's life was done in a positive light, most of the stories were filled with some inaccuracies.

Though of course, co-star Ed Ames, who played Boone's friend Mingo, got a little into controversy when he appeared on "The Tonight Show" with a hatchet...

That funny. For years nobody ever played Daniel Boone. Now its all over the place. I still watch it on RTV (for now until Me TV replaces it) I really like the show. Even the Black and White episodes that wasn't seen as often.

BTW, not to change the subject. What about the Lassie episodes on RTV? The got up to the episode where Timmy came to live with Miller Family (the original owners of Lassie) and then skipped over the episodes where the Millers sold the farm and left Timmy and Lassie to stay with the new owners. RTV picked back up on a later season. The episodes where there were different actors playing mom and dad (Cloris Leachman and I don't remember the other one) were missing.
