Is Dave Kane being a hipocrit?

Dave has had his face plastered all over local TV this past week due to he 7th anniversary of The Station Fire.He went to speak on Safety for amusement parks in the place of the Dederians. Now I feel really bad for him losing his son.Have we learned yet why an underage kid(his son) was doing at Station Night club n the first place that night? Is this not hypocritical of him to be speaking at a n event like this when his son did not belong there that night in the first place.

Not really. Tragedy doesn't practice age discrimination and you don't mourn any less just because your son shouldn't have been there. Dave may be known to go off the deep end with certain things but I have no problem with how he deals with the Station fire.

Kane has always been hypocritical. He used "causes" on the air to boost his self projected image of a wonderful humanitarian.
Back in the day, he would have screamed daily on the air about any father who had allowed his under aged child into a club, and even gone so far as to say the father was guilty of contributing to the delinquency and eventual death of the son. He would have challenged the father to call on air and and explain it all. He would have belittled the father endlessly over and over as he did with many people in news items which involved children and their parents.
In a really horrible way, I guess that this situation is giving him the gut wrenching experience of those people he castigated on a regular basis on his show, without knowing the personal details of each case. But, I wonder if an extreme self involved narcissist would be able to even see it.

I feel terribly sad for all those who have lost children, and I hope he finds peace some day.

If I remember right. The show that night was an 18 and over event. People would get carded at the door. And if you was 21 and over you would get a wrist band so you could buy alcohol.

You can't monitor and control your kid 24 hours a day. I don't care how good of a parent you are. It's pysically impossible unless you are attached at the hip. Any parent who claims otherwise is living in a fantasy world.
