The rumors are true, the backlash will be huge. Davey in my opinion is one of the more talented jocks in Sacramento. I am guessing that it was a money thing, the man upstairs isnt making goal with sales so the high man on the pole gets cut. It's only a matter of time before the rest of the Bomb staff is cut due to budgets, and the Wolf for that matter. Just when i start to actually get into a local DJ he is gone. You will be missed Davey, I hope someone picks you up.

Yep, he's gone! Davey was cool 20 years ago, but he's just too old for the target demo now. The 'White guy trying to sound black' schtick is real old too. yes, I am black. No I am not a racist. Yes, it offends me when white people put on pretend black accents. Davey just got worse and worse. Some mornings, he didn't even make any sense, sounded like he was high.
BTW, last time I had lunch with the staffer at KBMB, I was told it had to do with ratings and nothing more. They spend a ton of money on airstaff at KBMB without reservation. Davey's salary was not the deciding factor. His ratings dragging the rest of the station down was the reason for his dismissal.

Listen, Davey did sound like a black guy and he in fact is white. BUT, rest assured, it was REAL! He didnt fake the way of life and did not fake the accent. So, should I be offended when a black guy has no ebonic tone? He sounds like a country radio jock? There is no 2 ways about it, people are who they are and who are any of us to judge? Davey will pop up at ksfm, I heard rumblings in the hall today.

That would be interesting based on his departure from KSFM. Was that lawsuit ever settled? I haven't listened to him for a while, but I do remember him having a following at 102.5 back in the day.
