According to a post made below, I was wondering if Dowdy was changing the calls of 94.7 Lacombe.
Well, I stumbled upon this at the FCC website.
I had thought they were changing them to WYOK instead of WYLK. Guess I had heard wrong.
For history: back from 1995-1998 (before Styles swooped them up), 94.7 was part of a St. Tammany country simulcast with 104.7, and they were known as "94.7/104.7 the Lake". Many of the people who worked at Guaranty (when they were here) and Dowdy's Northshore stations worked here, if I recall.
Interesting tidbit: 104.7 had the WYLK calls. 94.7's were WYLA.
Could Dowdy be bringing back "the Lake" at least on 94.7? The station hasn't simulcast with 94.9 since Katrina, as it was first "Radio Slidell" and then became a commercial-free (minus the random Team Honda/Baton Rouge one) AC broadcasting in mono in November.
