Is Gavin still on board?

I don't have time to go through all of the RMS threads but... I have not heard anything from Gavin since all this happened except what I heard on "best of". Jagger has had David Henry on but not Gavin. There have been no news quotes from Gavin. I am beginning to wonder if he is still there. Anyone else pick up on this?
 
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. But I did hear he was physical in the office yesterday, but laying low in his office. Gavin is toast...it is just a matter of days (hours?) before it's offical.
 
I think Gavin ought to go to for letting things get as bad as they have at 105.3 but David Henry isn't innocent in this either. He's played along with Russ on his little bits too and has known how out of control things have gotten. They both ought to be out of a job.
 
They are running best of right now and they just aired them sending Dan into Gavin's office where he said Gavin had 4 PD of the year awards on his desk.

Does anyone get the impression that no matter how good a PD CBS brought in that he/she was gonna be doomed??

I'm not on the up and up about what it takes to get a PD of the year award, but my guess is they don't hand them out for just showing up.
 
If I remember corectly the station's ratings improved quite a bit after Gavin arrived. Then they started to slide again to the low point they're at now.
 
Typical case of a guy being in over his head. Seems like a nice guy. But looks and charm can't help you when you have two stations that blow.
 
What are the ratings? Where does the Russ Martin Show rank now? I listened a while back (it was actually somewhat interesting quite a while ago). Back then, he would go over the Arbitron book and compare their rank with other shows. There was lots of bragging about being number 1. I'm not a radio programming expert... but, I know what's enjoyable for me.... the RMS got very strange and I have had the "what's to listen to" discussion many times with friends (everyone wants to find shows worth hearing... when you spend a lot of time in your car) and the consensus has been that the RMS has become predictably bad. I actually didn't listen for a year (got Sirius and also like Galloway), but several times in the last weeks decided to give RMS another try... I couldn't stick it out for even twenty minutes. Things like, talking about slamming on the brakes so a girl's head smashes into a dashboard... everyone pretending to laugh like they just can't stop (that really gets old). After a try or two.. back to Sirius or Galloway. But, if his ratings are still high, my guess is he will be back. Radio people know that things blow over and being abusive with women (and promoting the practice on the air) doesn't have the same stigma as racist remarks (and he slowed those down in recent years). High ratings... well, controversy improves star quality... and based on his previous appeal this seems to be a "clod" market..

P&K were very good also for while... then they got boring too. I think when Pugs got married and Kelly engaged... they just lost something (maybe the "hots" for each other). It seemed their "chemistry" was gone the last time I checked them out (I found nothing to miss when I found that they were gone, really... so back to Sirius in that time slot)...

My personal favorite "pet" name for them, and I saw another poster had it as well, is "Bugs and Smelly".

Probably, in the same sense that Isiah Thomas is still with the Knicks.
 
I think maybe Gavins head is on the block..
All of his step-children have been bad!!
It doesn't look good for 105.3 and everything is
a mess, that maybe he should have stopped
before it got this far..
He has never NEVER had any control over Russ..
Russ treats him like crap and shows no respect..
The only good child is Jagger!!
Gavin should have controlled things better and
man'd up when it came to Russ..
Just a matter of time before Russ self distructed..

Seeing I've been out of town due to my honeymoon, I haven't had the opportunity to keep up with the KLLI debaucle. With the departure of P&K and the case against RM, not to mention the state of KRLD, I can't understand why he still has a job. If this was any other business, he would've been fired a long time ago. I'm sorry, but the stupidity has to end......,
 
Galvin puts up Utube videos of himself working out. Enough said,one reason alone he should be fired oh, and the obvious incompetence. :-*
