Is George Noory good for Coast to Coast?

He has been doing it for long enough that a lot of people probably think he is. Some of the guests are some real freaks who could use a thrashing, but hey, they are paying for their air time, so just turn it off, roll over and go back to sleep. Don't worry about it.

It's the nightly "freak" guests that keep the show entertaining, profitable and on the air. It started with Art Bell as a niche programming style when Art determined that typical political talk wasn't working for late night radio. Hence, "space aliens from Mars visiting Earth" was introduced on the perfect daypart - overnight radio. And it has been working for years.

It's George's job to sound like a creditable news journalist. The freakish guests and the callers are the entertainment.

Long John Nebel was doing it before both of these guys on WMCA in the 70's. Look him up on Google. Also look up the phony phone calls that Hank Hayes and the gang made to him... priceless!!

But it could be a better show if there was a more entertaining host.

The kinds of things that may tend to boggle the mind on that program are those who claim to be experts, who play fast and loose with Revelation all over the place, while ignoring the admonition of Revelation 22:18-19. They do stammer and stutter over themselves when George Noory or even Ian Pennet challenge certain assertions.

i think george noory does a good job on coast to coast.you can`t compare him to art bell.each has their own style and approach to the subjects on the program.i think they are equally good in their own ways.

i wish they would stick more to ufo`s , ghosts , shadow people and things like that but i guess the subject changes are inevidable with changing times.

to me the ufo and supernatural subjects are more entertaning.

When remote viewers turn up I am reminded of Johnny Carson's Carnac.

I can see Noory on the east coast when he comes on at 1 a.m. but for the west coast at 10pm ?!
Wouldn't Thom Hartmann or Ed Schultz or Alan Colmes, among others be a better fit for an open minded ( is that an oxymoron?) talk station

It would be better if he talked about that stuff. I don't like when he has on people to talk about gold or the weather.
