Is Hip Hop Really Dead?

Just on CHR radio its gone. Rhythnmic and Mainstream Urban radio its still alive. Just the quallity of artist have gone downhill.

I think Hip Hop is going through a transition period....people are sick and tired of the formulaic crap that's been flooding the airwaves for about 7 or 8 years now. We need another game changer to hit the scene and shake things up (think Snoop in '93, Puffy in '97, 50 Cent in '03)

HAPPY EASTER FOLKS! in honor of Easter, I'll be serving you with the hottest East Coast hits, representin east coast hits & hip hop from everywhere easter than Kansas, ALL Easter Weekend, on my facebook music page(s)! Enjoy! Happy Easter my friends! Shouts out to the East side.

Exactly. See (Re: Waka Flocka Lame) thread below this one. I basically just say how the sad state of hip hop has hit it's all time low with a retard like Waka being played. Everyone seems to agree that people are getting sick of the state of hip hop nowadays and it may be in for a change soon. Hip hop, like all art forms, does evolve and goes through highs and lows. Keep it locked! In the meantime, check out some old school innovative hip hop from the Boogiemonsters: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sAnTGd643k&feature=related

(Note all the same comments we are making here on that page, and as well as ANY old school, 90's etc. hip hop video on youtube..it seems like everyone feels this way)
