Is ION Becoming Another Nick at Nite?

I was wondering if ION is becoming another Nick at Nite? Here lately it seems that way because they are showing The Drew Carey Show with 4 episodes every night. I know that Drew is the new host of The Price Is Right and I'm basically not a fan of him and his work, but come on, aren't they overdoing things with his show from the 1990's-early 2000's being on 16 times a week? ::)

Is that another name for "creative accounting?" a/k/a "Let's shuffle some numbers around so it doesn't look like we're losing as much money as we really are?" ;)

Mostly OT but relevant old joke:

A firm is hiring a new accountant and interviewing candidates for the position. Candidate #1 enters.

"I only have one question for you: how much is 2 + 2?"

"Well......obviously, 4."

"OK...thank you for coming in."

Candidate #2 enters.

"How much is 2 + 2?"

"Um.....well, 4, of course."

"OK...thank you for coming in."

Candidate #3 enters.

"How much is 2 + 2?"

(Rubs chin thoughtfully) "How much do you want it to be?"

"You're hired!!"

I guess ION's chances of becoming a classic TV station to compete with cable's TV Land and Nick at Nite went away when ION decided to show such "classics" as Designing Women, Who's The Boss, Drew Carey, and Baywatch (coming in March or April).

Just goes to show you that you can't really believe what ION/I/PAX said in the first place when they said they were going to show classic TV shows.

I am off work this week and have noticed the "I" is running more public domain shows durring the day and less informercials -I Married Joan, My Little Margie, Ozzie & Harriet, and The B &W Beverly Hillbillies. I get the national feed on my cable system. I'd like to see more of that type of programing.

Unfortunately, the ION station in San Antonio still carries infomercials. :(

You guys are really lucky that you are getting these shows because I would like to see them again.

Well, they didn't come out and say cooking, but rather "the company has also been cleaning up its books"....

Wonder if there was a recent big order from the network for paper shredders and hard drive scrubbing software? ;)
