...does CBS Radio own the best CHRs? Here's a list of my favs:

-92.3 NOW NYC
-97.1 AMP Radio LA (not my fav, but they're pretty decent now)
-B96 Chicago (my all-time favorite CHR)
-MOViN 99.7 SF
-Hot 95.7 Houston
-98.7 AMP Radio Detroit
-101.5 JAMZ Phoenix (not labeled CHR, but playlist is close to it)
-98.5 KLUC Las Vegas

Although not CHRs, but they have great urbans as well:

-WiLD 94.1 Tampa
-V103 Atlanta
-HOT 93.7 Hartford

The folks at CBS know how to keep it live and local as well, that's for sure!
 
not really. I mean I do like 95.1 Kiss FM
But CC does own arguably the greatest CHRs:
106.1 Kiss FM Seattle
Z100 New York City
Kiss 108
XL 106.7
I do like some other Non-CC-Non CBS etc CHRs:
Q 97.9 Portland, ME
Alice 107.7 Little Rock
ZRock 107.5
98.5 KRZ

Lol we have the exact opposite taste in music ;D - My favorite CHR is Alice 107.7/Little Rock

B96/Chicago is on the Rhythmic panel BTW
 
I'd say CBS / ClearChannel are a close call.

Who owns WPOW, WKQI, WBBM, XHTO, and KYLD?
Those are my favorites. WSNX, which is what I'm listening to right now, is in some ways better than WKQI overall, but WKQI kicks just about everyone's ass when it comes to mixshows.

WSNX is already in the mix, by the way, for New Years. Power 106 was mixing, but stopped to do a countdown (which is why I had time to stop, think about WSNX, then give them the attention that Power 106 had before they went into a countdown!).

WPOW (Power 96) - Beasley Broadcasting
WKQI (Channel 9-5-5) - Clear Channel
WBBM (B96) - CBS Radio
XHTO - not too sure about this one
KYLD (WiLD 94.9) - Clear Channel

I agree... but I hate it when CC decides to ruin them and puts on cookie cutter programming (Saturday Night Online, Premium Choice)... Channel 9-5-5 was the victim to that as they had to cut down mixshows.

What do you think of 102.7 KIIS-FM, 103.5 KISS FM Chicago, WiLD 94.9 SF, 106.1 KISS FM Dallas, Q102 Philly, Channel 9-5-5 Detroit or Channel 9-3-3 San Diego?
 
This is why I love B96... it's 5AM CT and they're STILL in the MIX! :) I know it's just for NYE, but other CHRs have finished hours ago! B96 Street Mix FTW! ;D
 
Are you sure they are not prerecorded mixes? 99.7 now is mixing but I think they are all prerecorded

B96 is a Rhythmic, so it's probably gonna have a more extensive dance/mix show than your average mainstream CHR
