Sorry folks, but this new format for Radio Info's discussion boards is NOT working for me and I suspect that it isn't working for a lot of others either...because most of the more active boards I've visited here are growing stagnant. It was nice while it lasted. I have enjoyed our banter and conversations in days gone by.

I can live with it, but it seems a little less inviting. The mobile improvement is worth it, though, for me. I'm not a fan of the dark colors.
Right after they switched over to it, I found that I couldn't log in properly and attempted to have them email me a link to correct this. Well the link never came so I tried creating a new user account but it said I was already a user, so I tried the link again. Nothing. I gave up on the whole thing for a week or two, and swore I'd not stop back by anymore. That must have given them time to fix it, for I could finally get logged back in to correct my password issue (without having to create a new account).
I still try and visit the site, as I get used to the new layout. But I must admit that your observation is ''right on the money'' as the phrase goes.
One last thing while I am griping - the old site used to have a ''Print'' Option/Button on the bottom of it. It was at the very bottom of the page. Clicking on this Link produced a VERY Paper-Friendly Output (text-only) that could easily be printed to PDF for some of the people I know that aren't that tech-savvy. Sadly no longer works just like it used to. You can still print to PDF but it sure looks pretty sloppy.

I have to say that the old boards were much easier on the eyes. I have been on many internet forums through the years and the ones set up like this with dark back grounds like black and bright colored type never did well. They were the forums that people shied away from. Also I have noticed that the new page setups are not near as user friendly as the old ones were. I am sure this has a lot to do with the drop in people using them.
Don't like the new format
Yeah this new layout sucks and I too had to get a new screen name, not happy with that at all. If anything this new scheme is hard to read, hard on the eyes man! It sucks! Starting a new style then dumping everyone's old screen names, yeah I can see why people won't come back.

It took some getting used to, but the new layout is fine with me.
I keep hoping someone who is in charge will see the numbers dropping on the amount of people using this site and figure out that this new board design with the black background and bright colors isn't working very well before it is too late to get most of the lost users back.
