...Or has WNEW become the 21st Century equivilant of what the old WPIX-FM was in the 70s and 80s? Y'know, a Merry-go-round of formats that no one can seem to agree on until ultimately an anti-climactic conclusion of sorts is reached?

Next time, do a headline that says what your post is about. I will never get back the 15 seconds it took me to read a post on a topic I care nothing about.
And learn how to spell "equivalent."

You may somewhat be right. Seems like a "Blink III", with a new "Fresh" package. We all can recall WPIX-FM to be the "format-of-the-month club". As soon as a format would even show some kind of a "following", 'PIX would change the format to something else. (IMHO, 101.9 was probably a tax write-off for the Daily News a common occurence for a station, commonly owned by a local newspaper.)
To tell you the truth, the "Fresh" logo seems somewhat reminiscent to the "Blink" logo to me.
