Is It just me.......

.....But has the Paul Finebaum show really started dragging the bottom of the barrel? I'm an avid listener at night, but it's amazing what they let their callers say and get away with without hitting the "Bleep Button". Now. I'm the last person to complain about swearing, as I am extremely salty and would make a sailor blush in embarrassment, but it came to a head yesterday evening with one caller, who apparently has a history of prison time and an avid Alabama fan.....He proceeded to rail on the Auburn nation and used (and I will refrain using the term as it might be censored)..."A female dog" at least 20 times in his rant. Now again, being a avid listener to the show I have heard many such calls, but never to the point of what it was last night. I doubt that the show has to depend on the "Shock Factor" for ratings, but this was just really over the top.
I guess the "7 words you can't say on TV (Radio)" list has really gotten smaller.
Any Thoughts, or am I just getting to be an old man?

Yeah, Stewy.....I just have nightmares of even saying words like that on my radio station, and the consequences of them.

You mean there was actually a time it wasn't reaching for content in that area? :D

I called into the Finebaum show yesterday to complain about that very same caller. What used to be a pretty darned good sports talk show has deteriorated to the point that it's like listening to Jerry Springer. It's an embarrassment, and is in entirely poor taste. Thankfully enough, I'm a subscriber to XM, so at least in the morning I can listen to quality sports talk on Bill King's show.
