Is it just my car stereo?

I am wondering why I get distortion on the high ends on stations such as 107.5, 92.9, 99,1? I have an '07 Corolla w/ a factory 6 disc cd player and Polk Momo 6x9s in the back. I just don't understand why I keep getting this distortion as opposed to stations in other cities where I don't hear it. Hope I am clear enought.

Could be Iboc noise ;) ? Not sure why, I havn't noticed it on mine. You may be getting multipaths.

kinda loud and crunchy. The average ear wouldn't catch it but I have a keen sense of hearing when it comes to listening to music. I figured it would have to do with IBOC noise, like how I can hear the sidebands on the AM side.
