Is it me or does Lujak sound drunk? Friday Morning broadcast

I don't think he sounds drunk, but he does sound real weird in HD.
He sounds different for sure than he did back on 1690 a few years ago,
and when I heard him on in the afternoon a few months back he sounded like he does now

I like hearing that he thinks most movies suck. He's still the perfect curmudgeon-wiseass.

He wasn't even drinking. Open heart and the subsequent meds you have to take for the rest of your life can sometimes effect the way you come across. I had a stroke in 2000 and while you can't tell it to look at me, sometimes my meds make me sound a little draggy. I don't even notice it until someone, usually a loved one, will bring it to my attention. By the way, I think most movies suck too and aren't even worth the ticket price or the equally expensive fuel to get to there and back.

P.S. Lujack would sound better drunk than most jocks today do sober!

I can vouch for that. I too am a stroke survivor and have undergone two open heart surgeries in my 48 years of life (at age 8 and 31). 17 years after surgery and after many years of speech therapy, I still have times of speech difficulty (especially when I get tired or "overwhelmed"), otherwise you'd never realize what I went through. A moment of stress and "whatnot" can affect your speech at times, as well. While I was "on the mend" several years ago, some people who I would meet would think (according to some friends) that I was "under-the-influence-of-something" or something of that nature (nice people, eh?). When in fact, I was still having speech difficulties as a result of my stroke.

"Superjock" (Uncle Lar) is doing quite well considering what he has had to deal with over the years. In spite of it all, he's still the greatest! "Larry Lujack..... Larry Lujack...... Larry Lujack, Larry Lujack.......SUPERJOCK!"

Lujack was spot on, while the rest of the jocks during the "Rewind" were rusty.

You obviously didn't listen to John Landecker. His show was fantastic, and he and Gil Gross sounded like they were having a great deal of fun.

Sorry, thought Landecker was not good, except for Boogie Check. Enjoyed hearing Gil Gross however. Was very disappointed at Landecker's performance.
