Is It Me or Is Sports 56 WHBQ worse than ever? Sports Radio in Memphis

Let me begin by apologizing for rehashing a topic that has been brought up before, but my post is based on something several of us were discussing the other day. Is there really a need for three Sports stations in Memphis considering how bad Memphis Sports Talk is?

I will focus on Sports 56. Why don't they just save money and just have a few hosts stay on air all day? lol. I obviously am being sarcastic. The problem myself and several other people have is every show is basically the same (except for Rainman's which is even worse) It is the same one or two subjects everyday. I realize many of you like the SEC but believe it or not some people don't and a few of us hate college football. I recognize you are going to mainly focus on what has the most fans, but a sports station should cover more than one or two things. Here are my observations about Memphis radio:

1)If you don't like the SEC there is no reason to listen.
2)Most of the callers have no life.
3)How pitiful is it for a caller to call multiple shows in the same day or more than once a week.
4)There is no difference in the hosts. Every show is the same.
5)The hosts have no control over their own shows.
6)Playing weekly trivia is pathetic. There is enough going on in sports to not have to resort to crap radio.
7)There are very few real sports fans in the Memphis listening area.
8)John Rainey is basically a crook.
9)No preparation goes into most of the shows.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln...

I think 680 sounds pretty good. Even their voice guy sounds like the same guy that Fox Sports uses thus making the stations transition flow more smoothly. I was on 240 (heading west) at I-55 this morning at 7 AM and could not get 730 without a ton of static. Why is that?

because it's AM and probably 1000 watts or less?
Nashville has two sports talk FM stations.
They sound a hell of lot better than the tripe than Flinn is pushing out the speakers on WHBQ.
But then Nashville has the Titans, Predators, Sounds, Vanderbilt, TSU, the list goes on.
