Is it Safe?

Is anyone looking for, or even willing to accept, a new on-air position in a different market if you can avoid it?

It seems that things are soooo unstable and unpredictable right now, that even the most career-driven radio pros would be very careful about uprooting and leaving an "OK" position in pursuit of a better one. The ol' "devil you know" rule of thumb.

Am I way off base here, or is there a huge dropoff in the amount of personnel movement in this biz at the moment?

It really would depend on the specific station/company/market. Generally, in the smaller markets you're more likely to get a stable gig right now.
