Is it time for the NFL's television rules to be overhauled?

I thought the Sunday Wildcard game on NBC featuring the Philly Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks was excellent. Oh, and Go Hawks!

On to Aaron Rodgers and the Packers! And hopefully another win. Shades of the January 2015 NFC Championship game where we won in OT. That was incredible.

Maybe, but a Red Carpet special was scheduled and you know the fans of such programs don't like football. Were the Golden Globes live just in the East, meaning people in the West got to see the Red Carpet? And was there a way to see the Red Carpet in the East?

I only care because sometimes they have trivia or clips, but I have no interest in what the women are wearing except maybe for what isn't covered when they appear on the awards show. I suppose the interviews might sometimes have content I want to see.

CBS give Saturday's Game to ABC.

why?
The contract states for the playoffs
ABC gets ONE game (wildcard game)
NBC gets TWO games (WC & Divisional)
CBS & FOX get the rest

Super Bowl is rotated between CBS, FOX & NBC. The years NBC has the super bowl they get 3 games

Last year all 4 nets got a wild card, FOX got two divisional games, NBC & CBS got one. FOX & CBS got a Championship and CBS had the Super Bowl
2 years ago CBS got 2 Divisional games and NBC got the Super Bowl

ESPN has Collage Basketball this Saturday. Also MLB Network and NBA TV get to show more then one Game in Postseason.

First off its COLLEGE, not collage
ABC has the FCS Championship game on Saturday

But otherwise since you didnt read my previous post I guess I have to repost it

Since the Kennedy Center Honors isn't live I guess it didn't matter, but even though Fox had a late game, so did CBS.

The Panthers lost at home at 1.

The Raiders had their last home game in Oakland before the Kennedy Center Honors, since that game was a CBS game. Much like Chiefs-Chargers in 2013.

Was it mentioned here that someone believes Fox should change its music?

I mention this because on the latest episode from "Supergirl", when a large group of superheroes materializes on a different Earth than the one they came from, the music sounded a lot like what they play on Fox when they go to commercial during football games.

And when the group of superheroes showed up to do battle with Anti-Monitor. And several times later. And when the entire group gathered around a table with a symbol representing each member.

"Supergirl" used the Fox NFL music, or something close to it, once again when the seven symbols of the superheroes were shown in their new headquarters.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said his organization is "very open to changing packages, very open to changing partners" when it comes to negotiating media contracts that will expire in the next few years during an appearance on "Sunday Morning Futures."

Goodell said there are no "formal negotiations" about the future of DirecTV's Sunday Ticket package, which expires in 2022.

"We are very open to changing packages, very open to changing partners, very open to do the best thing we can for our fans and for the league overall for the long term," Goodell said.

The long-serving NFL commissioner also discussed how the way that viewers watch NFL games is changing, especially because of social media.

Here is a new statement Goodell has made in regards to the future to the NFL

There were a few weeks of interesting game choices...
Week 3- Asheville and Upstate got Houston @ LA Chargers, while most of the state got New Orleans @ Seattle, and Greensboro got Pittsburgh @ San Francisco.

Week 8- Asheville and Upstate got Oakland @ Houston, but everyone else in the state got Cleveland @ New England

Week 9- Asheville and Upstate got Minnesota @ Kansas City, but Greensboro and Charlotte got Tampa Bay @ Seattle

Week 17- Asheville and Upstate got Tennessee @ Houston. but everyone else in the state got Pittsburgh @ Baltimore.

Carolina had the home game on CBS so FOX HAD to show the late game in Charlotte. Greensboro could show a game opposite the Carolina home game but chose not to. Nothing out of the ordinary here

Week 17- Asheville and Upstate got Tennessee @ Houston. but everyone else in the state got Pittsburgh @ Baltimore.
not really out of the ordinary as areas west of there got the Tenn/Houston game (it was the primary game)
