Is it time to rebrand/revamp KZJK?

Is it just me or is it time to rebrand/revamp Variety Hits formatted "104.1 JACKfm" KZJK? I was thinking maybe "104.1 The Spot" with a bit of an AC lean, This way the station would be in competition with Love 105, Cities 97.1 KTCZ, and Kool 108 KQQL. I think if this were to happen, ratings would probably stay the same, but that's not an issue. The issue with 104.1 JACKfm is the lack of variety. Really though, who wants to hear Blondie's "Heart of Glass" about 20/25 times a day? I think even Jack himself is annoyed with the lack of variety.

Some of the Jack stations are still going strong all these years later, with little updating of the original format. #1 in Nashville, #7 in Los Angeles, #6 in Seattle, and #9 in Minneapolis. One Jack that isn't as strong: #14 in Dallas. But even there, so many signals are competing, that I don't think anyone is disappointed.

So my guess is, unless it starts falling in the ratings, don't mess with success... at least not much.

Read that sentence again and tell me what's in it for the station. If the ratings are stable, variety isn't an issue. At least not for most listeners.
