YES! Please change the format already!
The current format WPLJ is useless and there is no need for it. Their playlist can be heard on Lite FM, KTU, Jack FM and a few other stations already. Give us a modern rock/mainstream rock station or oldies (which I personally wouldn’t listen to because im 24, but other people would enjoy it).

Also, isn’t ABC/Disney selling WPLJ and WEPN?

OK Citadel buys the ABC group and is leveraged to the hilt to do it, why would you blow up a station that is continually making you money and is commercially sold out all the time?

Isn't plj up in ratings? Don't they make more money than most stations is nyc? What exactly is ktu and plj both playing, besides Natasha Bedingfield's unwritten?

Here though is the issue. I believe they bill well so even without a 4 share they are a niche sell and that sell works. I doubt they go anywhere.

They do bill very well and that, not 12+, is what matters. That said, KTU has added a lot of cuts like Human League's Don't You Want Me Baby, that you can also hear on PLJ (and Jack).

The Sale is on hold because Citadel doesn't want pay that much. WABC is part of the deal. I read this back in May..
