I'd love to see SJ as well, but like you, I don't see FM Talk going anywhere. While mornings are a mess right now with Imus gone and Barnicle leaving, middays (Eagan and Braude) and afternoons (Jay Severin) are strong. I'm personally not sure how Michael Graham is doing; although expanding his show to a standard 3-hour slot could at least give him more time to discuss the issues of the day. With a new PD in the house, GM is dedicated to FM Talk in Boston for at least the forseeable future.
Not going to happen. There are getting much more for their spots on TTK they they would with another music format.
If any station was going to flip it would be BOS and I don't see that happening soon. They did 9 million in gross ad sales last year and they have a thin payroll.
To flip entering the election cycle is not a good move, their morning show(Imus)sucked,so not having a powerhouse replacement doesn't seem like a big deal to me.
