Why yes Kent, I would say those things about me... but I also would have included many more great things about myself... LOL. I left Kent and the Zone in September of 2006 to take over the Radio Network Producer Position for the Nashville Predators, I got to travel with the team, and hang out with incredible talents like Pete Weber, Terry Crisp and Eli Gold three of the greatest story tellers I have ever been bleesed to hear. I could write a book on the great stories from just that one season. However I was a, budget cut / unsure where the team will be / going in a different direction, victim back in June 2007. As Kent said I do some part time on air stuff with 102.9 The Buzz and produce and engineer MTSU Basketball and Football for Nelligan Sports.
On air I went by Jay Walker like half of the part timers in Nashville... But I contend I did it first LOL... I use Jay Bennefield now on the Buzz, just cause saying Jeremy seems to be too much...
Here I am mainly a lurker, dont post too much, mostly just read.... I have worked with many of the regulars here in Radio-Info as part of my ten years in radio and consider most to be the best at the profession and tried to learn from everyone I was ever in contact with. I am just a guy that used a lucky break that Duncan Stewart gave me to tour WSIX back in 1997, and turned it ten of the happiest years of my life. I tried to work hard everywhere I was, and respect everyone I ever worked with. I have worked with what I was told some of the biggest egos and hardest to work with people in the industry, Gerry House, Phil Valentine, Steve Gill, George Plaster, Carl P Mayfield, etc. and never had a problem with any of them and I hope they felt and feel the same about me, if some of them even remember who I am. I always truly just wanted to be one of the guys behind the scenes that made things sound good and creative and make the talent look good.
Anyway nice to toot my own horn for a few moments, but honestly I am a blip on the radar of Nashville Radio and dont deserve the space I have wasted to type all of this out, but thank you for noticing me and getting closer than most who attempt to spell my name.... Good luck to you in the industry and feel free to write me and let me know who you are... or to beat the money I owe you out of me if that was the intent of your post.
