IS JOURNEY SOUNDING BETTER ?

They were sounding pretty good today while I was at Wendy's eating some chili.....and it continued
into the car. I think many places like them because commercials are few if any. That 25 minutes may
have been the longest I've ever listened to them at one time.

IMO they have pumped up the Pop and Crossover and pumped down the Rock (heard all over the
dial).

They were taking a jab at both B-98 and Y106 and doing a very good job at it this afternoon.

They are not attacking their own sister, they only overlap by half-a-decade (the 80s).

I listen to Journey more than I do B98 because Journey just sounds better. Jingles, 80s and 90s, and NO TEENY BOPPER MUSIC.

B sounds out of place.

Journey also has a much lighter spot load, for obvious reasons.

I will say this--the pop of today is the best it's been in a LONG while.

I agree that Journey is sounding better and should make it to one year on the air at 97.9 in June. It would be nice if they could add replays of AT40 from the 80's on the weekends, but the current mix is working.

Journey 97.9 actually played Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 last night. They played the show from this week in 1990.

It was quite fun to listen to. I think they will be playing the show every Sunday evening at 7 p.m.

I'll have to keep that in mind. I would love for Journey to pick up AT40 The 80s (and AGH AT40 The 70s). Many Cumulus stations in other markets carry the shows, and CC really has no logical home for the show in ATL, so CC/Premiere's ownership of the program isn't really an issue.
