Is K-Hits 92.1 Oldies Or Classic Hits?

I am curious? Is KCCL-92.1 Oldies or Classic Hits? The format seems similar to the new KFRC-106.9 or the upcoming CBS-FM in New York in terms of music? KCCL ids as "K-Hits 92.1 Sacramento's Cool Oldies", but they seem to play Late 1960's onward. It doesn't seem to play any 1950's. I'm not sure about early 1960's. Surprising that KCCL still uses the word, "Oldies". Isn't that word Taboo? Is there any comparisons between KCCL-92.1 and KFRC-106.9?

eventually classic rock or hits become Oldies. in 20 years all 80's will be classic hits or oldies

I agree, most stations don't want to use "oldies" as an identifier. I've heard 92.1 play some music from the 50's, but it's not much, and it ain't doowops. But I like what they are doing. Almost like a classic rocker with a pop sound.

I have to say 92.1 sounds better now than ever...both in terms of music/talent and also technically (processing sounds MUCH better than when station was flash 80's). Signal seems to have better coverage now than a year or so ago...

I agree that the 92.1 signal is better than before, but really, can you win in Sactown with this kind of coverage? They don't have a big stick.
