if people arent watching her as a national news anchor, how many people do you think are going to watch her as a day time talk show host??? how would ellen react???? lol!!!
 
Even the late Peter Jennings hosted the Canadian version of "American Bandstand" before cutting his teeth in television journalism.

Not that I'm comparing Couric to the likes of Jennings, of course... ::)

Hugh Downs co-hosted "Today" while also hosting the game show "Concentration". Is this comparable?
