Is KCDX going all-talk or what?!

So I'm running an errand about 10:30 this morning that required me to go south of Camelback Rd. "Great!" I said to myself when I passed Camelback. "Now I can listen to KCDX if they're on the air!" So I put it on and hear what I didn't want to hear or expect to hear on KCDX: "Blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-" about smartphones or something. I punched that button on my car radio literally about six times, with the same result: All "blah-blah-blah-blah-blah" and not one note of music!

Later, I did check their webpage and found music there, but is KCDX becoming at least a part-time talk station like KAZG?

They are 103.1. I heard the same talk stuff around 6p yesterday and thought it was signal leakage from the Scottsdale Community College campus system, but your post confirms otherwise. Please, Mr. Tucker: sell spots if you must, but don't go all block programming on us! As of this writing at 5:45A, the web stream is playing music. but the "now playing" list is incorrect.

on the brightside, that somewhat confirms there is revenue coming in. Which would keep the station on air longer as opposed to not playing spots (or informercials) like prior.

If it's brokered time, that's pretty routine. I saw the thread subject title referencing "all-talk" and immediately (logically) thought of on-air listener calls," which is not the same thing as infomercials and therefore not "all talk."

I've noticed that they seem to be stuck in a loop. For three days in a row last week I think, I heard viewpoints at 6 pm (the rooftop garden show) and it was followed by a license renewal statement and then "Home By The Sea" by Genesis. They seem to be playing the same songs at the same time every day. Also, on their website, the song search only goes up to 2012. Are we about to lose them? I'm gonna miss Golf Girl and Politzania.

I guess that was an infomercial that I caught, then. Thank you for the response, and I hope they go back to full-time music.
