Is KCKC "Star 102"/Kansas City about to flip?

Not to mention that Entercom bought the rights to the Fresh name in San Francisco and Kansas City for KOIT and KUDL (or K-Dul as I used to call it when I lived in KC) a few years ago to keep a competitor from going "Fresh."

KCKC did do well in September then starting going down in October and November.

Also when CBS owned Mix they were doing much better.

Meet Alice 102. Yet another lame attempt at AAA in Kansas City.

See The Zone, The Planet, The Boulevard...

Personally, why would Wilks flip this station? KCJK, KRBZ and KGEX already have those bases covered. Expect this one to be short-lived.

I wouldn't call it AAA, certainly not in the sense of WXRT, KINK, KBCO, etc. It's just a modern-leaning adult hits format in the style of Jack, Max or Gen X. I want to call it Modern Adult Contemporary (like the Alice stations of the 1990s), but there is nothing contemporary about it.

Radio sites are calling it "gold-based AAA." I don't really think so. First of all there are NO currents that I see on yes.com, eliminating the "based" from that description. Adult Hits may be a more accurate description.
