Is KDOC in HD?

Watching Star Trek and I noticed they changed the bug with the addition of the letters HD. Also it looks like the picture is slightly fatter to fill out a widescreen channel. I'm wondering if this is the case they'll make it permanent. :)

BTW: I'm watching the ST-TOS episode where Spock gets high on spoors and Kirk has to kick his ass for his own good. Classic Trek. :D

I found out over on AVS Forums

KDOC is only available in HD on cable thanks to a service called Sezmi who is buying enough bandwidth from KDOC to limit them to two SD channels. And you need broadband to get Sezmi.

If you think they've done something like this before, minus the broadband, Google USDTV.

I should have said Kirk set out to kick Spock's ass but instead just talked some trash and got a Vulcan beat-down. Guess that pipe he was swinging didn't do much good.

No what? Care to elaborate?

I said KDOC was available in HD via cable. Is this not correct?

Seriously, you need to elaborate.

I just saw today that my Charter Cable is adding KDOC HD, KPXN HD and KVEA HD (along with another Chinese Channel, blue ocean network...yay)....anyways, it will be interesting to see what KDOC and especially KPXN has to offer in HD. Are we going to finally see informercials in HD???

KDOC has Law & Order: SVU, SEC Football from ESPN, Chappelle's Show in HD (or in Chappelle's case, digital widescreen). KPXN/Ion's prime time shows and movies are also in HD.
