Is KFYI accelerating Traffic and News?

Listening to KFYI in the morning, it appears to me that they are pre-recording and speeding up both the traffic and news, but maintaining the pitch. I just don't believe that they could find 3 or 4 newsreaders that could talk that fast, without making occasional mistakes. I'm not referring to the "fine print" disclaimers of commercials.where we know that it is electronically processed. Anyone else notice this?

Or maybe my age is showing!

The new Dudeboss has reconfigured the top of hour gang bang to make it a little less obvious too many commercials wind up there. The Nurse and I still think it sounds too busy and their local talkers have a great deal of difficulty ad-libbing for 15 seconds to hit the station id. The Evil One is constantly missing the post on "Let It Ride" and we suspect he's no fan of the change. Non network news starts ahead of 00:00 and there is now a commercial and promo betweeen the end of the news and the start of the next show. Will this make any difference? Nah! Only to geeks like us who spend too much time listening to radio! Any attempt to speed up traffic and news would be noticed by The Middle Eastern Men of The Media.

Other than the :07 "fat lesbian" delay plus the :09 IBOC delay, it's live.

Well, except for those annoying canned weather drops from Royal Norman
from the "ROS Client Of The Month Weather Center."
