I know they were testing it a month or two ago, does anyone know how well it faired on Wild, and if they are still playing it now.

Also, does Wild currently have any Dance mixshows, even oldschool Dance, or Occasional Dance sprinkled in with the rhythmic product? Is House Party still on KYLD, that was one of the best Mixshows in the U.S, and I think it may still air.

there lunchtime mixshow usually starts off with some freestyle or euro from the ealry to mid 90s and then works its way up to currents

Yeah I know their Lunch Mixshow plays some Old School Dance, but im actually meaning to ask about their late night weekend shows, and if they play currents.

Alot of people dont remember, but Wild used to be on 107.7, this is when they played the most dance, and even some spanish music and the bigger POP/Rock songs.

Wild 107.7! And 99.1 for the South Bay ;D
Before it decided to go head to head with KMEL in the early 90s, 107.7 KSOL was the Bay Area's premiere Urban station. It did very well in the ratings if I recall correctly. Around 1987 KMEL started evolving from a mainstream CHR to CHR/Dance, and by 1989 KMEL was one of the first Urban leaning CHR/Dance stations, aka a Churban. Crossover stations weren't classified as CHR/Rhythm back then, b/c most of them did in fact lean on Dance records (Power 106, Hot 97, Power 96, Hot 97.7, Energy 96.5, etc.). KMEL was one of the first crossover CHRs to successfully jump on Hip Hop records early, and play them in all dayparts. In the early 90s 107.7 decided that due to the decrease of the Bay Area's black population, and the rise of the Hispanic one, they too would go Rhythmic. It was a pretty epic battle. Both stations had killer morning shows (Mancow rose to fame as the morning jock at Wild) and mixshows throughout the day. They both played some good Dance and House titles in rotation, and from time to time played some pure Pop/Rock titles - KMEL played Brian Adam's mega hit "Everything I Do" while in later years Wild played Red Hot Chill Peppers "Under The Bridge" and Lisa Loeb's "Stay".
KMEL has a MONSTER signal, so at some point to better serve the audience in the southern portion of the Bay area (meaning the San Jose area) Wild 107.7 acquired 99.1. On paper 99.1 seems like a pretty small signal with merely 1100 watts, but due to the antenna's height the signal reaches all the way down to Monterrey! It was the biggest competition 102.5 K-Don in Monterrey faced in the mid 90s, and it's likely the reason why Hot 97.7 San Jose folded :(

And now due to cc buying them they both sound like crap now especially kmel
