Is Lite's music too lite?

Sorry...can't give you much on this. Don't listen much cause its not my cup of tea, but when I do...the music seems pretty on for a light hits type deal. Not sure that the at-work audience or the frequent listener cares for the new Morning Dribble that was a total miss in Altoona though. I think people would rather hear the music...but nope overall I think Lite is pretty darn good if you like that sort of thing.
 
Lite isn't as light as they were when they first hit the air in 2001--they've slowly shifted to more of a mainstream AC mix. Trouble is, they can't get too upbeat without putting the lie to the "Lite" handle. (That's the BUS problem--having a ballsy liner proclaiming "Classic ROCK!" followed by a wimpy Fleetwood Mac tune--makes you slap your forehead and hit the seek button). Besides, the boomers are getting older--if Lite stays light their audience should grow over the next few years. Don'tcha think?

I actually like Lite. It's probably one of the only stations I listen to, just to listen to. When I listen to it, I turn off the "active listener button" and just enjoy. Besides, where else on the dial are all of you closet Barry Manilow fans going to go for your fix? Admit it, you know who you are...I'm out of the closet about it...how about you?

As for the boomers...I know some pretty peppy ones who insist on cranking their stereos to bands like Metallica, Rush, The Who, U2...etc.
