Someone on TVSpy.com reported that former KTVK anchor/reporter Liz Habib was doing the news on LA's Channel 13, KCOP. Anyone in the LA area that can confirm this?

Yeah, she filled in Monday night for the regular anchors, Rick Garcia and Lauren Sanchez. She's also occassionally on KTTV, KCOP's sister station.

LOOKOUT LA businesses serving alcohol!!!! Liz(@##$$!!) Habib is on the loose!

Someone also reported that she filed a story for CNNs Anderson Cooper show on the mudslides in Laguna. Does KCOP/KTTV use CNN feeds for some of their news stories?

Both stations have been CNN affiliates for over 15 years. They have CNN and Fox News access.

But a TV personality drunkenly screaming "You know who the f&@# I am!" won't be noticed as much in LA as it was in Phoenix (actually, Scottsdale). Probably happens more often in LA.

Their most famous member is Terilyn Jo, known for her stuck-up attitude, big cement hair-helmet, blindingly glossy lipstick, and perpetual on air smile - even when delivering tragic stories. She was last fired by NBC-11 (KNTV) a month or two after the police investigated an incident in which she (allegedly, of course) threw eggs at a construction crew working outside her San Francisco apartment.

Keeping track of the feeds during major breaking stories

I feel sorry for the producers and assistant directors at CNN when some big visual story breaks and they have to get permissions to use and then keep the live feeds from four or five stations in one market properly labeled on-screen as the CNN coverage bounces from feed to feed.

Especially when one of the affiliated station feeds switches to the live feed of another news or cable network.

Archiving the tape (or the digital files) might be a bit of a chore.

If emotion survives after death, seeing a competitor's call letters and footage on one of their old networks must make Bill Paley, David Sarnoff and Leonard Goldenson either chuckle wildly or turn red with anger.
