Is Maconnell still Syndicated?

I quit listening when WLW syndicated him because he became boring and he was obviously uncomfortable with not being able to cover local topics ... Today I flipped back over because Laura was doing a silly Valentine's Day topic. Mike is talking about local issues and he's not shutting down callers who might give away the broadcast location of the show. Is he still syndicated?

Re: Is McCconnell still Syndicated?

I've been listening some lately, since the change.

I have a feeling the show might not get its 'local groove' back for quite some time.

I don't get the feeling that Mike considers himself 'one of us, Tri-Stater' so much anymore and will have to shake off the feeling that he is 'one of us, syndicated talk show host' to get that local goodwill going again.

Maybe it will take a local morning disaster or blizzard to really become local again.

It makes you realize how important the local callers were to the old glory days of Mike's show.

Mike is one of my favorite talk show hosts. I listen everyday 9:00 - Noon on 700 WLW on XM Radio. If I miss the broadcast. XM plays it again from Noon - 3pm on XM-165, Talk Radio. On Saturdays, I can hear "The Weekend Show" on both WLW and XM-Talk-165. (Live on both)

For folks without XM, Channel 173 always plays WLW, complete with Cincy Commercials, Live from the "Eddie Diamond Lane Showrooms"

I would say the weekday show is NOT syndicated, although many people call the Morning Show from all around the country via XM. ;D

I will add one thing, the XM replay (from Noon - 3pm) is edited with all references to Cincinnati removed. When you call the show, the Screener asks you not to say "Good Morning" (on WLW 9am-Noon)
