Is Magic 93 including album rock to the mix?

Looks like Magic 93 has gone too far! According to Yes.com, their playlist consist of half classic rock hits and half AC. In certain times of the hour, they were playing songs that Rock 107 constantly plays like Foreigner's Cold As Ice, B.T.O's You Ain't See Nothing Yet, some Rolling Stone albums, and Manfred Mann's Blinded by the Light(which is part of their playlist for some time). Other AC stations from the areas that I visited do not mix in those songs. In my opinion, Magic 93 is not "Continuous Soft Rock" anymore, it's a station that sounds almost similar to 105 The River. With their sister station 97.9X leans towards new rock, and BHT playing newer music, I think the heads of Magic are trying to evolve itself into a Jack FM format similiar to The River, but not to steal away Rock 107's ratings. During the weekend, most of Magic's playlist is around 75% classic rock and 25% soft rock.

On the other hand, Lite 94.3 is focused on today's lite rock favorites without the harder edge stuff you usually hear on their competitor Magic.

Magic - #3 station
Lite - #23 station

Trust me... Magic is very, very carefully programmed and marketed, and microscopically fine-tuned specifically for this market. I worked for the 3 red-headed bastard stepchildren of the cluster (BHT, Bear, and Cat). If Citadel stock dropped to $0.01 a share, they'd turn off the BHT and X transmitters, fire the staffs, and set fire to the BHT and X studios to make sure the Magic folks are warm and comfortable ;D

That's not to take a shot at the Magic people. They were always nice to me.

(Side note: "We were smoking funny things" edited out of the Kid Rock song? Really??)

"Smokin funny things", yeah it's out of the song... but it's OK to have "sex on the beach" and "drink whiskey all night long" in the same song.... Every time that song comes on, I switch channels out of protest and don't switch back for days. Funny thing is that one overnight a few weeks ago, they played the "No-No" song by Ringo Starr.. they left in the verses about sniffing cocaine.... smoking marijuana and drinking moonshine... guess that's ok. Oh, they also take out "fuelin' up on Cociane and Whiskey" in Picture with Kid & Crow... I wonder if Adult stations edit out "I get no kick out of Cocaine" by Frank Sinatra? If it's ok to sing it there, why is a station geared to adult audiences censoring my lyrics?
