Is Max McGann going to 94.1?

Heard a rumor that Max McGann will be the new Morning Person on 94.1 replacing Bob Campbell. Anyone else heard anything? If true, glad someone's found a job in this economy!

For Max's sake I hope it's not true. It's a shady place to be, but I guess when you're unemployed choices are limited. May the force be with you Max.

I would hope 94.1 could do better than Max. He spent a lot of years in this market and did the same show day after day, very stale with little content.

I heard Max and he sounds like Charlie Van Dyke, Dick's deep voiced brother. It's gonna be good! There's another guy in town who sounds like that, too!!  I'm for one am excited!!1

::) Damn, Sniff, I was going to leave this alone, but there you go!!! I thought it was the other brother "Jerry Van Dyke"? Or is he still tied up on "Coach"? ;D

Many Dittos to that. Maybe Max could let Wilbur & Gig rent his air checks. He would be playing the same music, just update the weather & traffic and you would have the same old program from years gone by. It would really be an "oldies show".

Quadroponics is right!!! If they can figure out how to put Dliliah on in the morning, the'll be printing dinero and that means money, jack!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;) But I still think Max is gonna be good on there sounding like Dick van Dyke.!!!!! :-* :-* :-X :D

Stale radio = 94.1 and Tom Collins. He's still living in 1960's radio land. Thinks what worked then works now.

I feel bad for Max having to deal with TC, but I would imagine he's happy to have a job. I wouldn't count on it lasting very long, though. :-\ A crash course in sucking up might be in order.

Does Max have the job for sure? I was hearing another name was in the hat. Well.....several actually. Heard part of an ad yesterday where they said something about a function coming up where they were going to announce/introduce the new morning personality, or something to that affect. Damn I ramble when I'm half asleep.

sounds like a done deal to me then. what's the deal with TC, and why would some think this is a bad gig(no pun intended)

Wow....don't get me started! Some people would say that; TC lies. TC is disrespectful. TC is sneaky. TC is manipulative. TC is untrustworthy. Need I go on?

But anyone that works at 94.1 knows, he's a programming idiot! Not a clue! End of story.

Consider this. If Max McGann is indeed the new morning guy, that leaves the station without a competant PD. Max isn't a PD and neither is anyone else on staff. So, TC will continue his wrath of incompetance by inhariting the PD duties. That being said, how much more money can the Hiltons afford to lose in the coming year?

You know there are people that are sooo afraid of success that they keep themselves in a constant 'blown up' mode to keep that from happening. Such is the case with the Hiltons don't ya think?

Apparently, that's true of the Hiltons. They have been so mis-managed for so long that it's become a habit...a BAD habit that they don't know how to break. There are too many people that have worked for them that share the same opinion. That's sad because there are a lot of independent owners that have a real passion for radio that know what it takes to play the radio game. First and foremost, it's your people. If you continue to keep clueless people in charge, you'll never win.

Yup! I don't think it is a bad habit or lack of knowledge. Success can sometimes force un-wanted situations. Anybody care to speculate what that might be in this case?
