Is Merv Griffin's Crosswords doing new episodes?

The Huntsville, AL market got Merv Griffin's Crosswords back a few weeks ago for the summer on the local CBS station at 9:30 A.M. I am wandering if production actually resumed on Crosswords and enough new episodes were created for a summer run? The reason I ask is that the bonus round being played now is different from what I remember from last season. The bonus round prize was tweaked 3 times last season

1. $2,000 and a trip
2. $5,000, an X-Box 360 and a trip
3. $5,000 and a trip

The latest ones I have seen have the bonus round grand prize as just a trip but $100 for every question filled in correctly within 1 min and 30 seconds. I don't remember the $100 for every crossword filled in the bonus round during its run last year. That leads me to question if they in fact were able to resume production and have some episodes for the summer.
 
I'm 99.9 percent sure the show was officially canceled last year. That station is probably just burning off whatever they had left. It's just something to fill time. The show is as Dead as Merv is. Which sucks by the way. Merv was cool. But Crosswords really sucked. I would rather they air the original Cross-Wits with Jack Clark. That show was done right!

I believe there was a time when Merv Griffin was as big, if not bigger than Donald Trump himself when it came to Atlantic City, much like what Steve Wynn is to Las Vegas.

Kinda surprised Merv never did any shows that were based full time there, if he did please correct me but I would like to say that some Wheel of Fortune's were taped there however I am not even sure about that. I just remember those large billboards featuring this huge ( and scary LOL ) pic of Merv Griffin saying " You Can Bet on MERV !!

Not sure if Merv's estate has any ties to anything in AC now but had Crosswords been done from AC during Merv's days there...the show may very well had lasted longer and the prizes...much larger even though the quality of the show in itself had left something to be desired.
 
Are they doing new shows? No. Cancelled, killed, over.
