I was recently near Boston and listened to their new Rhythmic AC, Hot 96.9 (it also streams on iHeartRadio). It was an excellent-sounding station. It focuses on currents and "throwbacks" from the '90s and early 2000s. It seems like an updated version of what WMIA tried to be when they debuted. This leads me to pick your collective brains:
1. Why did CC pull the plug on WMIA as a Rhythmic AC station? Was it too closed to WMIB?
2. Can Miami support two Hot AC/90s-to-Now stations ('MIA and Coast)?
3. I still can't figure out why CC removed the "SHE" branding from 103.5. The format is still Rock-based. Yes, they added some voicetracked jocks and some modern pop recurrents, but I don't see why the "SHE" branding could not stay - especially with its Heritage.
