I hear "Big Changes Comin to Movin 107-5"

Could be ....as a kid I thought Steve Miller was saying  Big ol Ted at the Lighthouse.

But I am hearing "Big Change is coming to Movin 107 5"

Like Toy Yoda said fast enough sounds like Toyota.

I KNOW! CBS has The Fan for male demos and they are flipping Movin to The Change on Monday to target Females 55+.

"Mood Swings? Hot Flashes? ........Facial Hair???? us too!"

Thanks Bob... I just spewed water all over my monitor... :D

You guys crack me up! ;D

Maybe they are adding a new show host, named "Big Change"? Probably a fat guy who can jiggle behind a mic? ::)

I do agree whatever is coming, is probably being overhyped.

I "think" I have figured it out... From the brilliant mind of CBS Radio comes 107 minutes of commercial free music to start your work day... They did it to JACK why not 107.5? ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Considering that, out of their 5 stations, which they've basically owned for 13~ years now, they have only ever flipped formats on three of them (with one being as recent as 12/8/2008,) odds are that they're going to do NOTHING. How long did Wild 100 go on before SOMEONE mercifully pulled that plug? And remember, too, that CBS is not one to hype their failures...meaning that any format change has always had a "soft grand opening"...never, "100.3 is going to be blown up at midnight tonight...JB and Sandy are going to be burned at the stake...Fitz will be strung up by his b@lls and beaten with canes...so we can bring you another surly-voiced smart@ss to replace them with," or "First thing tomorrow morning, the water dries up on The Oasis: Tempe and Tim and Trevor and Lynne will all be ceremoniously tossed out on their @sses on the Fitzhugh overpass so that we may bring you the best in Hispanic female-skewing soft rap!"

Come on, folks...DROP the free press for another one of CBS's lame ideas. If there's ever going to be a format change on any of their stations, we'll all be the last to know. ::)

My guess is that "Big Change" is a promo where you can win 107 dollars... all in quarters!

Oops, I forgot Station #6...K-Vile. BTW, who's the new mid-day guy there? Sounds like Jeff Elliott of Mix 102.9, making the move up the dial, and I'd bet for 1/10th the salary Terry King was making.

Come to think of it, is this how the radio game is played now? For example, Terry King gets dumped for making too much money. Jeff Elliott is looking for a job after a nice career at Mix, and he's now willing to work at a much lower rate than he made at Mix, because he needs a job and he understands what's (not) going on with the radio industry now. Debi gets axed at KLUV, needs a job, and gets hired for (assumingly) a lower rate at Platinum. THE BURNING QUESTION IS...did anyone at KVIL or KLUV bother to ask Terry or Debi if they'd work at a lower price, as a way to keep their job? Let's just say Debi was making $70K, and a decent replacement would cost $30K. You offer Debi $40K, since she has an audience and is LONG associated with the station, and is a mainstay and a "face" of the station. It'd be worth the extra $10K to not risk losing listeners, right? And to not lose your top talent to the competition? (which is what happened...) Or is this the kind of logic that escapes the upper management at CBS?

Yeah...

I got suckered into that Jack FM stuff...it's becoming more apparant that if a station is going to flip formats...they usually don't announce it days in advance.

The Big Change at movin 107.5 is they will be called "Stop" They will kick it all off at Stop 6 in Ft.Worth then they will have a contest on how many "Stop and go's" are in DFW? So Stop what ya are doin monday and take a rest STOP on STOP 107.5!
