Is Movin getting closer to Tampa

The New Horriable "Movin Format" is spreading CBS now has swithched over San Fransico's Legendary Station KFRC and Dallas's Smooth Jazz KOAI (the Oasis) to the new "MOVIN FORMAT" Which sounds like an updated version of Jammin Oldies with a few currents mixed in. If it makes it to Tampa, I have a feeling it will be one of the CBS Outlets, Lets hope Tampa is Spared from this format of the week flip.

Doubtful. Just like "Jack", in Tampa Bay, the CBS group is the last place "Movin" will be showing up. No room as all stations in that group are positioned and sell quite well. Where it should show up is on 101.5. Based on history, that frequency is way overdue for a name change and format "tweak". Even if they don't pay the rights fees to the "Movin" consultant agency, they could still move the music in that direction and call it something else. However, Cox so far has not been a part of the "Movin/Party" format wave. Where I'd be most concerned is either at 100.7 or 95.7 within Clear Channel. But since they just hired a new co-host for Nancy and are now piping in Steve Harvey on The Beat, one wonders what they're up too. As soon as I read Olivia was gone, I thought for sure they'd have Whoopie and a "Party" format ready to roll. Go figure.... it never ceases to amaze me.
