Does anyone know for certain if long-time NYC radio personality (and frequent national talk show fill-in) Mark Simone is originally from Massachusetts? If so, what city or town is he from? If not, what state is he from?

He worked in Franklin, NH and Providence before the Big Apple, that I know for sure. There seems to be no reference on the Internet that includes his birthplace.
