Is NBC coming to Gainesville FLA?

It looks like Gainesville's CBS affiliate WGFL will be creating a local NBC affiliate on a digital sub-channel by this fall. I am looking for some confirmation on this but currently the market gets NBC from Jacksonville's WTLV 12 and Orlando's WESH 2 TV. The only thing on the WGFL website today was mention of them shutting down their analog signal next month.

Really? Where are you hearing this?

I know they have a construction permit for a new digital signal on channel 9... Actually, that's why they have to kill the analog early, the equipment for it won't fit in the building as long as the TV-53 equipment is in there.

The owners of WGFL-CBS 4 and WMYG-MyTV 11 are bringing a new television channel to Gainesville on Sept. 8, but to do that they are taking the analog-only transmission of WGFL CBS Channel 53 off the air July 18.

New Age Media president Michael Yunazzi said they have several options for programming and hope to enter talks with NBC to bring an affiliate to Gainesville for the new Channel 9. He said he expects a network affiliation in place within the next four weeks.

Sounds like they know what's going to be on channel 9. Wonder how it'll map. My guess is 29-1.
